Welcome to No Place Like Hone Sharpening!  When you use our services, you agree to follow these rules.  Please read them before you decide to work with us.

What We Do

No Place Like Hone Sharpening will sharpen and repair tools for hair stylists and barbers (shears and clipper blades), as well as pet groomers (shears, clippers, clipper blades, and dryers).  The time it takes and how well we can fix your equipment depends on how damaged it is and when or if we can get the parts we need.

We also sell shears and blades from many different companies which include but not limited to Mizutani, Shark Fin, Utsumi, Dirty Dog, and our very own No Place Like Hone clipper blades for pet groomers.  We are also happy to help answer your questions about any tools you currently have or would like to buy in the future.

What We Are Responsible For

What We Can and Can Not Do:  We are very careful with your equipment.  If your tools are badly damaged or broken beyond repair, we may not be able to fix them.  If that is the case, we will let you know.

If Something Gets Damaged:  If we accidently damage your equipment, we will pay you back the current value of the item or the cost to fix or replace it (whichever is less).  We will not pay for lost business or income.

Products We Sell:  Products come with the manufacturer's warranty when available.  We also offer a 30-day money back guarantee from the date of delivery.  We do not make any other promises about the products beyond their warranty and our 30-day money back guarantee.

Lost of Stolen Items:  We keep your equipment safe, but we're not responsible if something happens due to fire, theft, natural disasters, or other things we cannot control.  You should keep your own insurance.

What You Need To Do:  You need to tell us the truth about your equipment's history and any problems it has.  If you do not tell us important information, it might affect how well we can help you.

Maximum We Will Pay:  The most we will pay for any problem is the amount you paid us for that specific service or product, as well as the current value to replace it (if applicable).

What You Are Responsible For

When you use our services, you agree to give us correct information about yourself and your equipment, be respectful to our employees, not bring us equipment that is stolen, tell us the truth about your equipment's condition, follow all laws, and not use our services for anything illegal.

If anyone is threatening, abusive, or rude to our staff or other customers, we reserve the right to refuse service.

Payment Policy

Prices For Retail Items:  Prices for the retail items we sell do not include taxes and shipping and are listed on our website.  They are subject to change without additional notice.  Discounts may be offered for retail items.

Prices for Service Items:  Prices for service items are also listed on our website, and are also subject to change without additional notice.  We may need to look at your equipment before we tell you the final price.  We'll let you know the cost before we start working whenever possible.

How To Pay:  We accept cash, business check, and any form of payment you can use to pay a Square invoice link we will send via text message or email.  We do not accept personal checks.

Late Charge:  Any work not paid after 7 days of completion may incur a $25 late fee.

Canceling Services

If You Cancel:  You can cancel before we start working.  If we already started working, you may need to pay for the work and materials we already used.  Multiple cancelations by you may result in us no longer providing services for you.

Cancelling Orders:  Special orders might not be cancelable once we order them from the manufacturer.  We will tell you this when you place the order.

Refusing Delivery or Not Picking Up Your Equipment:  If you refuse our delivery or do not pick up your equipment with 30 days after we tell you it's ready, we consider it abandoned.  We can then sell it or throw it away and use any money we get to cover what you owe us.

If We Cancel:  We can refuse to work with anyone for reasons like not paying bills, being rude, breaking these terms, or fraud.

Our Content and Ideas

Everything on our website (words, pictures, logo, and designs) belong to No Place Like Hone Sharpening or the companies who gave us permission to use it.  These things are protected by copyright and trademark laws.  You can not:  copy or share our website content without asking us first, use our company name or logo without permission, copy our methods or techniques.  The brand names and logos of products we sell belong to those companies.

Which Laws Apply

These rules follow the laws of Indiana.  If there is a disagreement about these rules or our services, it will be handled in court in Hancock County, Indiana.  Both you and we agree to use these courts.  If part of these rules doesn't work legally, the rest of the rules still apply.

Changes to These Rules

We reserve the right to change these rules at any time.  When we make changes, we will post the new rules on our website with a new "Effective Date" date.  If you keep using our services after we make changes, that means you agree to the new rules.  We suggest checking these rules once in awhile.
